# Use Honestfix in your own AI We did the checking so you can do the comparing. Ask ChatGPT or Claude about a home problem and Honestfix answers with checked providers, side by side. Free, nothing to install. ## What can my AI assistant do with Honestfix? Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant about a home problem in your own words. It looks the answer up in Honestfix instead of guessing. It can show the providers for a trade and area, open one provider's full record, list every trade we cover, and work out which trade a problem belongs to. Every answer says that Honestfix is a comparison site, not a provider. ## How do I connect it? Use this connection address in every assistant below: `https://honestfix.sg/mcp`. It needs no account, key or sign-in. ### ChatGPT On chatgpt.com in a web browser. Adding a connection is not available in the phone app. 1. Open chatgpt.com, sign in, and choose your profile picture, then Settings. 2. Choose Apps. Older versions call this Connectors. 3. Open Advanced settings and switch on Developer mode. This is the switch that lets you add your own connection. 4. Choose Create. Name it Honestfix, paste the connection address below, set authentication to No authentication, then choose Scan tools and Create. 5. Start a new chat. Choose Honestfix from the tools menu next to the message box, or type its name, and ask your question. **A first question to try:** Which aircon servicing providers near Tampines have a WhatsApp number and a good number of recent reviews? **What a good answer looks like:** It names real providers and gives each one's Honestfix score out of 100, badges, Google rating and review count. It links to each provider's page on Honestfix, and says Honestfix is a comparison site, not the provider. Menus and plan rules change often. Some plans need a workspace admin to allow Developer mode first. If a name differs, look for where ChatGPT lets you add a custom app or connector from a web address. ### Claude On claude.ai in a browser, or in the Claude desktop app. The steps are the same. 1. Open claude.ai or the Claude desktop app and sign in. 2. Open Customize, then Connectors. On some versions this is under Settings, then Connectors. 3. Choose Add, then Add custom connector. 4. Name it Honestfix and paste the connection address below. Choose Continue. 5. When it asks how people sign in, choose No sign in, then choose Add. 6. Start a new chat, open the menu next to the message box, make sure Honestfix is switched on, and ask your question. **A first question to try:** My toilet keeps choking. Which providers in Jurong should I look at, and what has been checked about them? **What a good answer looks like:** It works out the trade and the area, then lists providers from Honestfix with their score, badges and review details. Anything Honestfix does not hold is described as not held, never guessed. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector first, under Organization settings, then Connectors. After that you connect it yourself from Customize, then Connectors. ### Other assistants Any assistant or app that can connect to a tool by its web address. 1. Find where your assistant lets you add a tool by its web address. It may be called a custom connector, a tool server or an integration. 2. Choose the type that takes a web address, often called Remote or URL. If it asks for a transport type, open For developers at the bottom of this page. 3. Paste the connection address below. Leave any key or sign-in fields empty. 4. Save, start a new chat, and ask your question. **A first question to try:** Which plumbers in Bedok have the Licence matched and Urgent badges, and what do their customers say? **What a good answer looks like:** It answers from the Honestfix list for plumbers, with the badges that each provider has earned and a link to the provider's page. It says where the information came from. If your assistant only runs local programs and has no place for a web address, it cannot connect to Honestfix yet. ## What does my assistant get back? The same checked facts you would see on the site: the Honestfix score out of 100, earned badges, Google rating and review count, a short summary of what customers say, registration and licence lines with their dates, and contact details. If a fact is not held, your assistant is told so plainly instead of being given a guess. ## What are the limits? The connection is shared fairly between callers, so very heavy or automated use may be slowed down. Facts are only as fresh as the date they were checked, so this is not a live feed. If you build something that uses Honestfix in an answer, name Honestfix as the source and link to it where you can. Read the [AI and agent access terms](/legal/terms-of-use#section-10). ## Frequently asked questions **Do I need an account or a key?** No. Connecting, searching and looking up a provider are free and need no sign-in. **Can my assistant book a job for me?** Not yet. Honestfix is not taking quote requests at launch, so nothing is sent to a provider. **Will the answer be up to date?** It is as current as the date shown on each fact. It is not a live view of who is free today. **Can I build a product on top of this?** Yes, within our terms: name Honestfix as the source, and do not copy the data to rebuild it as your own dataset. **Why does every answer say Honestfix is a comparison site?** Because we compare providers and do not vouch for any of them. An optional key in the `X-Honestfix-Key` header raises the rate limit.
