Once payment was made, the level of service declined dramatically As I write this, my container is sitting at a port in Ireland because SIR failed to provide a single critical document. Over the past 48 hours, I have spent hours trying to get a response from someone who could resolve the issue. Calls have not been returned, messages have gone unanswered, and there has been little sense of ownership or urgency. If you do, they’ll take the money from the customer and not pay the subcontractors—they’ll cheat you. In my case, they just gave verbal assurances (no contract signed), and I went to help them move a bungalow house with a team of 14. They cheated me out of nearly $3,000. The experience was excellent before I accepted their quotation, with prompt responses to queries and clear guidance on the process. However everything changed once I accepted the quotation and made payment. The company plied me with forms and instructions, leaving unclear instructions on how to complete them and being completely unresponsive when I posed questions.
