Corrections

Report a wrong fact, dispute a listing, or ask for removal. Two doors: for homeowners and for the business itself.

Both forms give you a reference and a private status link as soon as you send them. For anything else, use Talk to a person on the Help page.

Tell us which listing and what looks wrong, and we'll look into it. There are two doors below: one if you're a homeowner who spotted something off, one if the listing is your business.

I'm a homeowner: something here is wrong

You don't need an account to report anything. If something on a listing looks wrong, out of date, or missing, tell us and we'll check it.

What you can report

  • A wrong or out-of-date fact (registration, licence status, contact details).
  • A review that looks fake, off-topic, or wrong for that provider.
  • A listing that shouldn't exist at all, or belongs to the wrong business.
  • Anything else on the page that doesn't look right.

What happens next: We check what you report against its source and correct the listing if you're right.

Which listing looks wrong?

Not about one listing? Use Talk to a person on the Help page.

This is my business

You can report a correction to your own listing without paying anything. If something on your listing is wrong, out of date, or missing, tell us here.

What you can report

  • A fact that's wrong (registration, licence status, service area, contact details).
  • A job you do that isn't showing, or one you don't do that is.
  • A review you believe is fake or about a different business.
  • A request to remove the whole listing.

What happens next: We check what you've told us against its source before we change anything.

Correct or remove a listing

Find the listing by business name or UEN.

Removing a whole listing

A listing comes off Honestfix when the business asks and we have confirmed the request is from the business. Until then, a removal request does not hide the listing. Tell us the listing and the reason (closed, wrong business, duplicate, or something else) using the form in "This is my business" above.

What we won't change

A correction is not a way to move up the page. Some things stay as they are, whatever a report says:

  • A fact that checks out as correct. We'll tell you what we found and why it's staying.
  • A request to buy a position on the page. Money never moves rank.
  • A review that turns out to be genuine. We can't remove a real review because a business dislikes it.

Questions about corrections

Does reporting something cost anything?

No. Reporting, correcting and claiming are all free, for homeowners and for businesses.

Can a business pay to remove a bad review?

No. Providers cannot pay to remove or improve a review. A review can only be corrected if it's shown to be about the wrong business or otherwise not genuine.

Will correcting a fact change my rank?

You cannot buy a better position through a correction. We check the reported fact against its source, and the score may change if a fact it rests on is corrected.

What if I don't hear back?

Every report gets a reference and a private status link. Open the link, or check the reference on the Help page, and reply there.

Something doesn't look right?

Tell us which fact and which listing. We can check its source.
