I had a very disappointing experience with Fixlaa and would not recommend their painting services. The initial painting quality was poor. There were numerous missed spots, patchy and uneven areas throughout the unit. When I pointed these out to the painter, I was essentially told that I could paint over the uneven areas myself, which is unacceptable after paying for a professional painting service. The painters also left paint splatters all over my flooring. Instead of cleaning up after themselves, they told me to simply scrub the paint off myself. Another major issue was that the painters charged me separately in cash for silicone and plastering works. Not only do I suspect these payments were never passed on to the company, but the works were never completed despite me paying for them. Before the job was completed, the painter told me to contact him directly for future touch-up works. Fixlaa had assured me that touch-ups after the installation of my lighting and ceiling fans would be provided free of charge. However, when I contacted the painter, he first turned up without even bringing any paint and insisted that I had to pay him for the touch-up works. After I explained that Fixlaa had confirmed the touch-ups were free, he agreed to return the following day—but never showed up and became completely uncontactable. I then reached out to Fixlaa multiple times through calls and messages to explain what had happened. They simply ignored me. There was no response, no follow-up, and no attempt to resolve the issue despite repeated attempts to contact them. Eventually, I managed to get the painter to return to complete the outstanding silicone works and touch-up painting. Unfortunately, this created even more problems. He arrived without any protective sheets or coverings and splashed paint all over the clothes in my wardrobe. He also performed ceiling touch-ups without protecting the surrounding fixtures, resulting in paint being splashed onto my brand-new ceiling fan and light fittings. The touch-up work itself was still poorly done. To this day, I have not received any response, apology, or resolution from Fixlaa. Overall, the workmanship was poor, the after-sales service was practically non-existent, communication was extremely frustrating, and I was left to deal with the consequences of their mistakes myself. This has been one of the most disappointing renovation experiences I’ve had, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before engaging this company.

Extremely disappointing experience with Fixlaa Painting. The workmanship was careless and the materials were poor quality—the paint already started flaking after just one week. They also painted my master bedroom ceiling the wrong colour and left paint smudges all over the house without cleaning up. The after-sales service is unacceptable. The moment I made full payment, they started completely ignoring my messages to arrange the touch-ups. Instead of enjoying a freshly painted home, I am left cleaning up their mess and chasing them for basic replies. Poor workmanship, inferior paint, and terrible customer service. I would not recommend Fixlaa.

❌ Terribly Disappointed – Subpar Material, Covered-Up Mistakes & Reno Delays. I hired Fixxlaa for my AC installation, and it has been an absolute nightmare. I explicitly quoted for 1/2" insulation, but instead, they sneakily used downgraded 3/8" insulation to cut corners. When caught, they tried to brush it off and tell me it was "fine." As you can clearly see from the photos, the K-FLEX insulation explicitly reads 3/8"TK (Thickness). They completely lied about the materials being used. Exposed & Torn Material: Instead of a clean install, they shoved and squeezed two pipings into the thin 3/8" insulation trunking. Because they forced the fit, they tore the insulation completely wide open. The bright copper piping is left entirely exposed inside the casing. This is a massive condensation and leaking disaster waiting to happen once the walls are sealed up. Instead of taking accountability, they tried to hide their slip-slop work. In the end, they were forced to dismantle the entire subpar job. My renovation site turned into a complete junkyard of ripped-out copper wires and wasted insulation material because they couldn't do it right the first time. This entire ordeal has severely disrupted and caused major delays to my ongoing home renovation timeline. Save yourself the headache, avoid the dishonesty, and stay far away from Fixxlaa. They lack integrity and basic workmanship standards. Likewise for their slip slop painting job. Some walls, small corners are completely left untouch after the 2nd coating trip. Paint splatters can be found everywhere as some areas are not properly protected. And they don't bother to help clean it properly. Corner edge of walls are not properly masked for a clean even line. So now becos of the incompleted painting job, my schedule is delayed once again. These photos are only 50% of the painting issues, but enough to show how unprofessional are their team of painters and AC installers. UPDATE: They finally responded after this review, but instead of feeling apologetic they accused me of intentionall damaging the insulation becos i wanted a different trunking layout. And why would i want to do that? Moreover it's their senior tech guy that came to randomly opened the trunking to check on the 3/8" insulation that is supposed to be 1/2" as quoted - that we discovered the TEARED on the insulation which came as another shocked to us. Re post painting job, I've to admit my words are unpleasant, but this is only after their Non Responsiveness to promptly address the many issues (e.g. whole wall under the desk not painted at all). And who will not be frustrated especially after full payment are made, and this is not the first but second time they didn't complete their job professionally, causing delay to my reno once again. After this review, they can even tell me that their job has concluded as they already did what they need within the job scope. Totally regret hiring them just to save a bit of $$$.

Very disappointing experience with FIXLAA. The amount of defects left behind suggests a lack of proper quality control and supervision. What frustrated me most was the after-sales service. Once payment was made, it became extremely difficult to get a response. I sent multiple messages and made several calls regarding the defects, but many of them were ignored or left unanswered. As a customer, I expected better accountability when issues were raised. Instead of enjoying my newly painted home, I had to spend my own time inspecting defects, chasing for replies, and cleaning paint marks left behind by the painters. Poor workmanship combined with poor customer service made this a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend FIXLAA.

I am extremely disappointed with the painting services provided by FIXLAA. While the touch-up session improved some areas, the overall workmanship remains far below expectations. There are still numerous issues throughout the house, including uneven and crooked paint lines, unpainted corners, paint peeling, visible roller marks, and white patches showing through the coloured walls. Many areas require repainting because subsequent coats were applied before the previous layer had fully dried. The dark green and light green paint separation lines are noticeably uneven and unprofessional. It appears that masking tape was removed too early, resulting in rough and inconsistent edges. What is most frustrating is that I now have to perform many of the touch-ups myself. The painter who returned was cooperative and did his best, but he was not even provided with a ladder despite requesting one. Without proper equipment, how is a painter expected to reach ceiling areas, paint door frames properly, or achieve straight lines at higher sections of the wall? I have also spent considerable time cleaning paint stains left on my engineered wood flooring and porcelain tiles. These should never have been left behind for the homeowner to remove. In addition, one of the workers previously assigned to my project consumed biscuits and Milo in my living room and left crumbs and spills on the floor. This demonstrated a lack of professionalism and respect for the customer’s home. Communication and customer service were equally disappointing. Several concerns and messages were either ignored or left unaddressed, making the entire process exhausting. As a customer, I should not have to take leave from work repeatedly to supervise painters, identify defects, and coordinate multiple rounds of rectification. A professional painting company should have proper quality control and supervision in place. Another issue is that FIXLAA removed all remaining paint tins after completion. Since there are so many defects requiring correction, they now need to bring back the ceiling paint and light green wall paint for further rectification. The extent of the defects is far greater than what photos can accurately capture. Overall, the experience has been frustrating and time-consuming. Poor workmanship, lack of supervision, inadequate preparation, paint stains left behind, and unsatisfactory customer service have left me with little confidence in recommending FIXLAA to anyone considering painting services.
