   This mover is not recommended! Engaged their mover service in March, paid deposit, confirmed everything. Had a very tough time chasing back for my deposit of $50 and it has been over 6 months! Unresponsive to messages. They even blocked my number. Utterly disappointed, i won't even give 1 star!!

   We are so grateful to Gem Movers for saving us at the very last moment! Our original movers ditched us on 15 August, and Gem Movers immediately took up the job. They sent 2 trucks quickly, worked super efficiently, and managed to complete the entire move in just 4 hours. On top of that, their pricing was very reasonable. The team was fast, professional, and reliable — exactly what you need during a stressful move. Highly recommended. Thanks Kevin.

   They don’t even deserve the one star to begin with. Initially thought they were good under Rise. Later did I realised it was such a big mistake. I booked them for moving and storage as my other place wasn’t ready. Anyway, Ghosting is their forte. Similar with other reviewers, booked with Rise and some random individual Kevin responded. They overlooked the delivery date for my storage items and I wasted my leave to stay home wait for them. End of delivery after making payment cos the guys were in a hurry to go, I realised they missed out my TV. Chased Kevin to hunt down my TV but empty promises to say it will be delivered. One month passed, I even offered to pick up from their warehouse. Kevin kept saying he will deliver and claims my TV still there but nothing happened. Whoever thinking of using them, they offer you cheap rates but use with extra caution as your things may either go missing or you wait in vain. Am going to make a police report cos give. Kevin too many chances.

   Scam - they took our deposit on day we made an appointment. 2 days before the move, completely ghosted our messages. Beware these guys have "great" ratings on carousell.

   Booked their moving services under "Rise Logistics" and paid $50 for the booking, but the payment was made to Jacky" rather than the company. Firstly, they didn't deliver the boxes on the agreed date and had to be chased to deliver the boxes. Secondly, the day before the move, a different person "Kevin" contacted me requesting photos of all my items. I was given another UEN to transfer the final payment to, under "GEM Movers". Both guys claimed that they had a joint business venture initially but Rise had closed down. I had a moving job scheduled for 9am, but the team was nowhere to be found and there where 0 updates. Upon chasing Kevin again and again, and after multiple promises of arriving in 5-10 minutes, the team arrived only at 11:30am, without a truck. They started to move my items downstairs, and had to wait another 1 hour with the items in the carpark before the truck finally arrived. I was suppose to start moving at 9am, but only started at 12:30pm. This was a 3.5 hour delay. In between all this, the two men gave me different information who the final payment should go to, claiming company disputes and money that one owes another. This caused me alot of stress as I was worried if the move would even go through. Another issue arose when it came to returning the boxes and getting my deposit back for the boxes. Despite agreeing on a 3-day pickup schedule with Kevin, no one showed up and he stopped answering calls and ignored all my messages. Would not recommend to engage their services at all. Very complicated company matters at the back end, lacking integrity and transparency (lateness of moving and payment), and unable to follow through on what was agreed upon.

   I booked a moving service with them and paid $50 for the booking, but the payment was made to an individual rather than the company. They delivered the boxes on the agreed date. However, the day before the move, a different person contacted me requesting photos of all my items, supposedly to prepare the team. But on the actual moving day, the movers were nowhere to be found. I had a moving job scheduled for 9am, but the team leader claimed his truck was involved in an accident. Another team arrived around 11am in a Lalamove truck, which worked out fine since I just needed the move done. I paid the full amount after the move was completed. However, the issue arose when it came to returning the boxes and getting my $50 deposit back. Despite agreeing on a 3-day pickup schedule with the team leader, no one showed up. He became unresponsive and stopped answering calls. Be cautious if considering hiring their service. They'll take your deposit and then ghost you.

   Horrible business ethics. The comments below are all true. They never mentioned deposit will only be refunded after boxes are returned. That’s okay, after I return the boxes, they started ghosting me and still have not refunded the deposit even tho I’ve been chasing for weeks.

    Had a small disposal job. They asked for a deposit - -there are other companies out there that don't require a deposit. Then they said they'd come at a certain time and never showed up or followed up. Thankfully I never sent them a deposit, so I rebooked with another company that was more dependable and no deposit.

    They were punctual, responsive for our queries and doubts, did the packaging well and quick. But we thought they should have taken more boxes on trolleys, because there was lot of space still there in the top, if they would have done that, we didn't need to take one more lala move transport for the leftovers and didn't have to spend 100 bucks. They had taken only 5 to 6 per trolley. And they said they would charge $180 for the other half truck. They were delaying our deposit $50 even after we asked many times for the carton boxes after we handed over them.

    - Not punctual. The scheduled appointment is between 2-3pm. They reached around 6pm+. - Unsatisfactory customer service. I tried to arrange the return of loaned carton boxes and initially they asked if 2023-12-19 is good for me. I asked what time and never got a reply. Nobody came and collect the boxes as well. Until now (2023-12-22), I am still chasing them for update. Hopefully I can get back my $50 deposit. - The moving process itself went smoothly. They took good care of our huge dining table. My advice though is to ensure they try to maximize the lorry's space if possible. Make sure there are no stuff inside already taking up space that might cost you an extra trip.

    Very poor service and they aren’t responsible at all. Kevin from Gem Mover promised to fix the broken glass of the cabinet, delayed for weeks, and ended up they return the cabinet without repairing and expect us to repair ourselves. The compensation fees we asked were not given at all. The side of the cabinet is cracked as well, which is beyond repair.

    Hire at your own risk. Our experience with Gem Movers in 2022 was great (under Steven). However, communication with Kevin is absolutely terrible (and seems to be a recurring issue in other reviews). We initially hired Gem Movers for three separate jobs. Boxes failed to arrive at the address on the agreed upon date, and our first move got pushed from a 9-10am to 1pm, only for the drivers to show up unannounced at 11am. After boxes failed to arrive for our second job for 2 days with no explanation, remorse or reply, we decided to cancel the job entirely. Really disappointing experience that's caused us a lot of inconvenience.

    [Update] Finally gotten Kevin to refund the $50 deposit after chasing for 3 days. Engaged GEM to collect and store our stuffs, and everything had been great until after the delivery whereby we request for the deposit to be refunded since everything was ok (5 Apr 2023). Despite texting the 2 numbers given multiple times, I received totally no response from Kevin or anyone from the company pertaining to the refund. Kevin promised to transfer on 7 Apr 2023 afternoon, but there was no update till now. They don't allow us to deduct the deposit from the payment, but delayed the refund when we asked for it back. The deposit was just $50 and it was previously communicated to us that the deposit is to book the timeslot, and carton boxes were provided free of charge (we took 10 boxes only in the end). As such, we do not understand the reason for delay or no response at all, when everything had been ok. I shall not talk about the delay in delivery or the providing of old & used carton boxes, as I think these are minor issues that we can close an eye on. It just shows so much about the company when they seem to be avoiding the refund of deposit, and not providing an update from anyone. If there is a reason for the delay and communicated to us, I am sure we can understand. This is not how to do business. Was initially still quite happy with the service but this has left a sour taste.
