If I could give this guy a negative score, I will. I recently brought a pair of new pumps for him to install l rubber shoe soles for $80 dollars (already a rip off). I only went to him because it’s close to my house. In barely 4 weeks the shoe sole started falling apart from the original sole. When I brought the shoes back, he said it’s better to not put shoe soles on my current type of shoes as the glue won’t stick and it’s better to just rip off the rubber sole. If you can’t do the job, don’t do it. Don’t charge people an arm and leg and do a terrible job. Worst merchant ever. He’s a disgrace to all the cobblers.

Am writing and posting on behalf of my friend who is a very gentle person. I believe she got royally scammed and swindled at this place for a simple mending task. Whether you like your sandals/shoes fixed, keys made and/or anything that requires mending, please avoid this place like the plague. The charges are atrociously high for simple tasks and the justification, simply ridiculous. AVOID!

I’ve had to waste two trips here for two simple office keys. 1st trip: Keys didn't work. 2nd trip: Brought them back to 'fix,' but they still failed. I have tried reaching out to the owner via WhatsApp with video evidence and phone calls, but have received no response. It’s one thing to make a mistake, but ignoring a customer after failing twice is unprofessional. Do not recommend.

Wanted to have my belt shortened (always a good sign) Was quoted $30.00. Same as the gentleman who complained about the price and attributed it to the fact that he was Caucasian. Am a local so they get ONE star for being impartial. One should be careful about projecting our own fears and biases.

Wish I had researched on this shop beforehand hand ( not sure why the shop name was not reflected in Google , it’s JaJ shoe and key service) Engage their service at your own risk! when I highlighted the damage done on my new shoes , was nonchalantly and carelessly replied with a unprofessional response of “it is wat it is , next time bring in old shoes for us , dun sent in new shoes “. Wat a ridiculous statement from a clobber , Not even a word of apology !

Duplicated a key at this shop. Was quoted initially $6 but after comparing with some of the keys, he told me $12 cos they key is longer. Proceed to duplicate and after finish, I asked if he has a small ring to hold the key. He told me a ring will cost $5! What a rip off. Then I went to another shop at NEX and duplicated the same key and the cost is only $6 plus they give a free ring to hold the key. Never never ever go to JAJ unless you feeling rich.

Beware of this place. I'm a Caucasian and approached to ask how much is to make a hole/shorten a belt. He quoted me $30! For that price I can buy a new one. I'm pretty convinced he has two lists of prices and I he was quoting me expat price. Not honest place, you can see they even give themselves a 5 star review below.

Just now I went to ask if could repair my stuff, he answered cannot be repaired without even taking a look. Then I go home and try to fix myself. Fixed in 5 min.

Take note. My mum went to Shop besides, and then ask about lamination services, then say the locksmith does it. Ends up the cost of $8 was so expensive, realize there is another shop infront was only $3. Just take note to those going to get things from them especially.

Duplicated a key here that could not even work. Uncle still asked for a top up for a second key. I decided to ask for a refund because uncle was rude and wanted to charge the key for $12. 🤦🏼

Service is very bad and they are expensive. I would never go back to them again. They don’t even give a receipt and told me if there is any issue to only return within a week? How am I going to prove that? Luckily I paid via Paynow so there is a record. Not recommended!

Supposed to be open till 7. Made the trip down and found it closed... Next door shop owner said they closed at 5:30pm. Please at least ensure your opening hours shared online are accurate so people can avoid making unnecessary trips.
