My family experienced bad power trip and Shamiul reached within 25min from point of calling. He systematically checked for the cause and confirmed that it was due to issues from incoming power supply from Singapore Power. He stayed while we called SP and also proved to the SP personnel that the issue is indeed from external cause. Thanks to his support, our family finally had stable electrical supply. Thanks Shamiul!

Absolutely terrible. Agreed for an installation. Pulled out 1 day before scheduled date. Called in and they just insist to cancel. No explaination Reply to owner's response: We have highlighted to you from start that this is a socket installation in a mall. Which requires management approval. 10th march we asked you when would you be free. Told us to get back to us but didnt. We asked again on 12th march and you told us the next day, mall management approval requires time so it was not approved. Told you about this and we finally set the actual installation on 18th march (that is the only official date we set, there is no changing of dates a few times you claimed). Mall management asked for LEW names for application and you pulled out last minute on 17th morning. Could have told me you dont have LEW from start and we dont have to go through so much trouble for nothing.

Told me that the service includes checks to all power point and cost is $90 but upon reaching they cannot find solutions and took them 2 hrs.. So they charged me $150 & give $10 discount just for the checks but no solution and said that the $140 is for the checks.. but in Whatsapp it stated that the service $90 includes checks to all powerpoint.. Be careful because they charge you base on efforts given not service quality rendered. + Quotation given to me was $420 just for less than 6M new wiring power supply to my kitchen from the DB box.. other places quote lesser than that and from far better licensed electrician.. Now i can’t switch on my Wifi not sure they purposely cut the power or so that they can charge me extra saying jts faulty from the start.. Up price you and leave you with faulty socket.. poor service and just not honest people. Please be careful.

Very disappointing and unacceptable service. We made an appointment and received confirmation from head office, but it was later canceled without proper reason. This shows a lack of respect for customers and resulted in a complete waste of our time.

This is the MOST Jialat / Irresponsible Handyman service I ever encountered. I reached out to them on the 6thDec25 requesting for an asap Carpentry service, but was being dragged and excused of all reasons until today 24thDec25 and not responding to me anymore.

Beware. Irresponsible and overcharging for a simple job. When told, it is still not working, wanted to charge more to come down to “inspect”. Keep hounding for payment (on same day) without invoice.

Engaged him to fix a doorbell and a light. Neither was fixed properly. The doorbell is still not working even after payment, and he stopped responding to calls and messages. We are now in the process of filing a small claims case to recover our payment (under $500), as it’s a matter of principle. Very poor service and unprofessional. If you're reading this, definitely engage another business

Extremely Unprofessional, Unreliable, and Rude Service - A Complete Waste of Time I am writing to document an exceptionally poor and frustrating experience with SHS Engineering on November 29, 2025. The entire process was a cascade of failures, from scheduling to the final interaction: - Unreliable & Disrespectful of Time My appointment was scheduled for 9:00 AM. No one showed up. Upon contacting them, I was told they would arrive between 9:30-10:00 AM. They failed to appear again. After another message (which was seen but ignored for 15 minutes), they finally informed me they would come at 11:30 AM. This complete disregard for a customer's time is unacceptable. - Unprepared and Incompetent When the technician finally arrived at 11:15 AM, he was utterly unprepared. Despite my clear WhatsApp message stating the issue was with my "switch, fan & light," he claimed there was a "miscommunication" and that he thought it was a "PUB wiring issue." He was unable to resolve the problem, diagnosing it simply as a fan that could only be controlled by the switch and not the remote. When asked if he could repair it, he said no. - Unprofessional and Aggressive Attitude The most shocking part of this ordeal was the technician's conduct. After I informed him I would seek another technician who could actually fix the issue, he responded by slamming my fan wires in my hall before leaving. This aggressive and childish behavior is beyond unprofessional; it is completely unacceptable. To add insult to injury, I did not receive any form of apology from SHS Engineering for the multiple no-shows, the wasted morning, the lack of a solution, or the technician's appalling behaviour. I strongly advise everyone to look elsewhere for electrical services. This company demonstrates a complete lack of reliability, competence, and basic professional courtesy. I will never recommend them to anyone!!!

I contacted Shamiul to help me replace my distribution board (all the circuit breakers) in my house. He came with his colleague and they completed the job in about an hour, as promised. The price quoted was also very reasonable, compared to other companies I contacted. I highly recommend them if you need help with things related to electrical wiring/breakers in your house.

I can't recommend SHS Engineering, and specifically Shamiul, highly enough! I had a baffling issue where my bedroom light would flicker even when the switch was completely off. Shamiul was absolutely wonderful. He arrived prepared, was incredibly professional, and demonstrated exceptional meticulousness and thoroughness in his work. He quickly diagnosed the root cause of the flickering, using the right tools and systematic inspection to locate the tricky problem. Beyond fixing the immediate light issue, he also identified and corrected problems within my old DB box by replacing it with a new one. What truly set Shamiul apart was his communication. He took the time to clearly explain the technical issues in a way that I could easily understand, which gave me complete confidence in the necessary repairs. If you need an electrician who is knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cares about doing a complete and proper job, look no further than Shamiul at SHS Engineering. Five stars!
