I previously gave NP Engineer a very positive review after Das and his colleagues completed the tile grouting, replacement of my rubbish chute, and painting works. At that time, I was genuinely very satisfied with their workmanship and service, and I mentioned that they had exceeded my expectations and that I would engage them again. Unfortunately, my experience after that was very different. I later found that a section of the epoxy/grouting in my kitchen had come off, so I contacted them to request a rework for that area. At the same time, I asked for a quotation to do grouting for my bedroom. As around 50% of the bedroom is covered by fixed furniture, only the visible and accessible areas needed to be done. I was quoted $250 and decided to proceed because of the good experience I had with them previously. However, the bedroom job by Das was very disappointing. They scraped the existing grout and applied the new grout, then told us that they would return the next day to complete the work. However, they did not come back as promised. I had to contact them at night to ask about it, and only then was I told that they would return the following day. We had also clearly informed them to come after 10am as that was when we would be available, but they arrived earlier without taking our schedule into consideration. When they returned, they removed some of the grout along the sides, but there was no proper buffing or finishing done. The workmanship looked rushed and poorly finished. The grout along the edges was also not properly removed, and after they left, there were many grout residue marks left all over the floor surface, which we had to spend time cleaning ourselves. What disappointed me even more is that after I had already given them such a good review for the earlier works, the standard of service and workmanship seemed to change. I engaged them again because I trusted them based on my first experience, but this second job was nowhere near the same standard. It left me feeling that once the good review had already been given, the same level of care and effort was no longer there. I honestly feel that the $250 I paid for this bedroom grouting was wasted. For the amount paid, I expected the work to at least be properly completed and cleaned up, but instead we were left with a poorly finished floor and grout residue that we now have to clean and work on ourselves just to make it look acceptable. I genuinely regret engaging them for this additional job. My first experience with them was good, but unfortunately this follow-up experience has completely changed my impression of their workmanship and service. The attached photos show the condition of the floor after they considered the work completed.

The installer brother Das came within the time and he was so nice and friendly. Most importantly he is knowledgeable in his job. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent & Professional Service – Highly Recommended! A huge Thank You to NP Engineering Pte Ltd, especially Pranta, for his prompt response, professionalism and dedication. Some of the power points in my kitchen suddenly tripped and I was unable to restore the power even after resetting the breakers. Pranta came down to troubleshoot the issue thoroughly and discovered that some of the connections at the breaker box were already partially burnt. This was a serious hidden fire hazard that could potentially have caused a fire, especially at night while my family was asleep. What I truly appreciate was Pranta’s commitment to our safety. Instead of simply leaving after identifying the fault, he went the extra mile to source for a new and compatible breaker box so that the issue could be rectified as soon as possible. His effort also saved my family from having to stay in a hotel while waiting for the repair to be completed. Really grateful to Pranta for his responsible attitude, patience and genuine concern for our safety. Thank you for potentially preventing a much more serious incident. I got a reasonable quote from NP to restore my bedroom door (which had soundproofing tiles applied). The painter Das did a great job removing the glue, sanding / smoothing, and applying varnish. Very happy with the results but took longer than I expected in multiple ways: - it required two technician trips - the first time Das came he didn’t realize what the job quite entailed (removal and varnishing) and didn’t have the right materials so the appointment had to be rescheduled to the following week - on both occasions the painter arrived late - 45min-60min after scheduled arrival timeframe - the job itself took ~90-120min longer than I expected (total 6hrs incl a 30min lunch break), although to be fair to him, the glue was very sticky All the above meant I had to take more time out of my work and also inconvenient as I had something scheduled shortly after the job needed to be done and I ended up needing to cancel
