Called them as I had a bunch of different electrical tasks. They managed to change a few lightbulbs and told me an electrical socket that kept tripping the MCP was “too complicated to fix”… the guy left and was supposed to come back with a quote for a few other things but never replied back.

Mohd ishak from SG Electrician is a very competent electrician. He quickly identified the source of my flashing ceiling light as a faulty light switch and changed it. He also helped me install two electrical sockets very efficiently. Then he checked the circuit breakers in my DB and informed me that there are no problems with them. I would recommend him as a good electrician to hire.

Easy to arrange for a preferred timing. Electrician Mohd Ishak was the one who came by & he did a meticulous job of changing out all my faulty power outlets plus replace my common toilet's LED light. Finally can breathe an air of relief. Pricing is market rate. Will hire them again when necessary.

Call them on a Sunday afternoon when the DB box of my house tripped. Technician Ishak was deployed & arrives in an hour after my 'Whatsapp' text to the Company phone. He was well experience & fixed things quickly. Price was also very reasonable. SG ELECTRICIAN is a highly recommended Company in the East if you encounter any Electrical issues.

Very rude service, could have quoted for checking charge and informed the rest of the charges based on the job onsite, but chose to be rude and sarcastic. If possible I don't even want to give a star.

TLDR: Avoid this electrician company; not professional electricians — felt like someone doing part-time work with no real skills Had a power trip late at night and made the mistake of calling the first electrician that showed up on Google (we didn’t notice the other poor reviews — now we understand why!). We were quoted $50 for a consultation over the phone, and told someone would come in 30 minutes. True enough, the electrician showed up on time — but that's where the professionalism ended. He came without a ladder or torchlight — thankfully, we had our own at home. He spent 3 hours unscrewing light fittings, testing here and there with no clear explanation, and in the process damaged two of our lights. He asked us to call the town council as he “suspected” an issue with the electricity meter, and waited around for the EMSU technician to arrive — who took less than 5 minutes to confirm it wasn’t a meter issue. In the end, the electrician couldn't even diagnose the problem. He then said it might be a DB box issue or maybe the house needs to be rewired, with a rough quote of $1,000 — to be confirmed by his boss. Then came the bill: $50 for every 30 minutes — totaling $300. To be fair, we might have misunderstood the initial quote over the phone, which we thought was $50 for the full consultation. After we pushed back, he “gave a discount” and charged us $160. It felt like this wasn’t his first time dealing with complaints — he dropped the price without needing approval from his boss. We later got a second electrician, who solved the issue in under 5 minutes. Turns out it was neither the DB box nor the wiring. Problem fixed, lights working, no damage done.

Whatsapp-ed for SG Electrician on the eve of Chinese New Year as I messed up while trying to change a three buttons one way switch on my own. An electrician came and told me that my new switch was lousy and insisted on using his switch which costed $120. (What kind of a one way switch would cost over $100). I had no choice but to accept his proposal to ensure I have lightings for my dinning area and kitchen. Also when I whatsapp-ed, I was quoted $60 for checking fee but when the electrician finished his job, he quoted $80 for that. Luckily I have the chat history and avoided a "jacked up" price. Please be careful with them as they have a varying fee.

Call them as my power tripped. Even after switching all the db box power up the power was still off. Hotline gave a great suggestion which was to check the db box outside the house and it worked. Appreciate the sound advise

Texted the hotline with immediate response on a Saturday afternoon. Electrician arrived in 15 min upon job being assigned to him. Mr MD Ishak is very professional and knows his job well. He systematically does all the necessary checks to isolate the cause of my power trip. Problem solved. All electricity resumed within 30min. Thank you for the professional service. Job well done. I will call SG electrician again if I have electrical problem. The charge is fair .. as stated $50-80 for initial check. I paid $80 to save my weekend and all my food in my refrigerator.

.ENGAGE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK. Power tripped. Googled and admin mentioned techician arrive within 30 mins. Took 1h to arrive without informing, no choice to troubleshoot on my own through youtube video to get my power back. Upon arrival, further 20mins wasted to troubleshoot and diagnosed need rewiring which can be done in 5-10mins. Believing him as a professional, quoted $240 aside from the hourly rate at $80p/hr. Took another 10 mins to collect materials. However, he is not skilled, removal of wires yet unable to insert new sets of wires, struggled for good 40 mins. As it was 9.10pm, to resolve the mistake he made, he proposed to come back again fitted wires through casing at exposed wall that required drilling, he didnt dare to commit a quote as of $240, it might be more. Paid $120 for more trouble on that night wasted total 2h30mins plus 30mins to clean up the messed he made. The company quoted per hour rate and might have language barrier to convey layman terms to understand.

No show despite confirming with them the day after. No reply even after I reached them. Took 1/2 day leave to wait for these people.

Fuss free quick service. Text them at 10am today and arrange for 2pm on the same day to fix a faulty light strip. Was quoted $50 for site inspection. They arrive on time.. found the problem, fixed it together with a few other add on works. Cost $220 in total. I would say the price is ok.. (was quoted $180 by another company without the add on). Not sure why there are so many negative reviews, they get the job done.. fast.

Never again! Beware of this unscrupulous electrician that overcharges telling you to change parts that were never broken in the first place! I had a blackout in my home, electrician came, said had to change 2 fuses plus labour cost charge all together $750. Turns out one of the fuses RCB was completely fine and working and didn’t have to be changed! It was too late, electrician asked for payNow to replace fuses which I didn’t know only one was busted but not two . Unscrupulous vendor are a shame to society! Must avoid!! Never again!!

Two bathroom lights were flickering and the electrician told that 50 sgd for checking and then asked the bulb type. After he fixed one bulb, he quoted Total of 170 sgd.. and then bargained for 150 sgd. I feel ripped off.. Never again in life going to call them. BLOCKED

Our light in kitchen cannot be switched on so I asked what is wrong and they said ballast may be spoiled and I asked how much average will cost to fix? Said $80 to $100 but later found out we only use wrong light tube instead of led light. And they charged $80 for only changing Led light.

Arrived 30 minutes late. Instead of changing the driver on the led bulb completely replaced my working 12w light bulb with a 15w light bulb. Changed two light bulbs and charged me 200 dollars. Light bulb cost less than 20 dollars. My bathroom is so bright my eyes hurt and the guy had audacity to charge transport when he was 30 minutes late to the appointed time. I would very much advice against using the service.

Was quoted $50 to inspect a trip on my water heater. Arrived and said I needed a new 71 litre hot water tank. Quoted $1600 which I thought was high but was desperate, so paid a 50% deposit for them to return on Monday. I checked and found the tank to be only$400. Considering that I was ripped off, I contacted them and they reluctantly gave me $100 off. Two foreign workers arrived on Monday and I left them to carry on. When I checked on them, I discovered they had turned on my AC as they said "they were hot". How entitled is that? I said that they should have asked me before doing so and not be so entitled. I also said if they wanted to work in an AC environment then they should not be in construction but rather in an office. Rip off company with unprofessional workers who are overly entitled. Keep away from this company. I was probably overcharged by 60%.

called in to get a quote and was quoted $50 for checking fault. but after technician came down, 30 mins later informing that there is additional charges of $30 for 30 mins block and $40 for another 30 mins block. so I tell him how much will I expect, he tell me $80 and will issue me invoice after the job is done. after checking, he tell me is $120 for checking as it is 1hr 10mins pass. call up the mobile number when I first enquire and tell them this issue, promise to do a refund to me but when call up them. She rejected my call and ask me to go case and complain. please do not engage this black shop as you will have a bill shock after. avoid at all cost.

Engaged them to fix our power trip issues. It was frustrating initially to arrange a time for them to come down as they don't answer calls, were unresponsive on whatsapp and they took a long time to reply. I believe this is an admin issue. But once the technicians came, we were satisfied with the service provided. They were professional, easy to communicate with and polite. We also felt their charges were fair. $50 fee to diagnose the issue, and $80 for every hour of work provided thereafter. This was on a Monday evening. We would engage them again.

Only first time he was on time, other time he didn't come on the appointed time until you called again. one time I need to make another appointment with him the next day, another time he come 1.5 hour late. His reason was always the same: he was busy. He never bother to call to postpone or apologize. Work knowledge wise he was ok, he did isolate the problem.

Called for electrical advice & quote for my wall mount switch connecting to my in-built oven. Electrician hardly speaks english. Before i provide him the electrical problem infos, he immediately quoted $150. Since i couldn't hear him, he requoted $180. Wonder what kind of services they are providing & what they are up to? Bad experience. Bad impression for a electrician. Thank god, didnt engage their services.

I'm very impressed with service provided. Came within 30 minutes after calling for a site inspection. Gave me solutions to my power failure problem both tempt and complete fix. Charges was told before he started work! (Very important). Highly recommended

I am having issues with power trip whenever there are lighting strike. get them down to fixed it. came down within 30mins. very professional too. explained nicely to me what is going on. Have not face the same issues anymore.

Was affected by water leaking that cause the power to trip. Got SG Electricians to come by to inspect. The guys very experience, came and fixed everything in 1 hour. Thank you
