   ⭐ 1 STAR — THINK TWICE BEFORE ENGAGING THIS COMPANY Extremely disappointed with this painting company. I chose them because I trusted their professionalism, but unfortunately, the experience has been nothing but frustrating. I was clearly told that the paint smell would disappear within 24–48 hours. It has now been 16 DAYS, and there is STILL a lingering sour smell in the house. When I raised the issue, instead of taking responsibility and properly investigating, the blame was pushed to Nippon Paint. The painting process itself is also very questionable. 3 pails of paint were completed within just 4–5 HOURS. Seriously? How can the proper drying time between coats possibly be followed within that timeframe? From what I observed, it appeared that another coat was applied before the previous layer had properly dried. If this was indeed the case, then the problem is with the painting process—not simply something to blame on the paint manufacturer. And the story doesn’t end there. There is also a crack that I reported to them. I was told they would keep me updated and let me know when they would come by to inspect it. Guess what? Still waiting. No update. No follow-up. Nothing. The most frustrating part? I DID NOT DELAY MY PAYMENT. I paid promptly because I trusted them and believed that they were professionals who would stand behind their work. Unfortunately, the professionalism seems to disappear once payment has been made. I paid for a professional painting service, not a rushed 4–5 hour job followed by excuses, blame-shifting and silence when problems arise. 16 days of lingering smell. An unresolved crack. No proper follow-up. If you are considering engaging this company, I strongly suggest you think twice and do your homework first. Don’t just listen to what is promised—make sure they actually deliver and, more importantly, make sure they are willing to take responsibility when something goes wrong. For me, the biggest disappointment isn’t even the paint smell. It’s the lack of accountability after I had already placed my trust in them and paid them without hesitation. Definitely not the level of professionalism I expected.

   We would like to clarify several points in this review, as some statements do not accurately reflect what took place. 1. Actual working duration Your review states that “3 pails of paint were completed within just 4–5 hours” and describes this as a rushed job. This is misleading. Our crew arrived at approximately 9:40 AM and completed the works at approximately 5:30 PM — almost 8 hours on site — for one small HDB bedroom. The 4–5 hours referred to the estimated painting portion, not the total time spent at the property. Preparation, sealant application, cleaning and other agreed works were also carried out. The actual timing and progress were documented and sent to you in our WhatsApp group chat in real time, with photos and videos throughout. The sealant was completed at approximately 1:10 PM, followed by lunch before painting commenced. Completion photos/videos were sent at approximately 5:37 PM, followed by our message at 5:56 PM checking whether everything was satisfactory. 2. Three pails / three coats The three pails were used because three coats of paint were applied to the bedroom. The quantity of paint used or duration of the job does not, by itself, establish that the manufacturer’s drying or recoating requirements were not followed. If you have specific technical questions regarding the Nippon products, including application, drying or recoating requirements, please verify the relevant technical information directly with Nippon Paint, as the manufacturer. 3. Products used The Nippon products used were the specific products you selected. The brand-new paint cans were shown to you when our painters arrived, so you could clearly see what products were being used. There is no factual basis to suggest that our team substituted another product or added thinner/solvent simply because an odour remained. 4. Follow-up regarding the odour The painting was completed on 18 August. After you raised your concern regarding the odour, our team returned on 26 August specifically to inspect and follow up on your complaint — just eight days after completion. In addition, our sales personnel, Sabrina, personally offered to lend you her own ventilator at no charge as a goodwill gesture. This was her personal ventilator and was not a company rental unit or part of the original service. You initially declined, stating that you had no space for it. You subsequently requested that the ventilator be delivered to you, despite it being Sabrina’s personal unit. She clarified that this was a personal goodwill offer, not equipment the company was obligated to provide or deliver. A residual paint odour does not automatically establish that thinner or solvent was used or that the workmanship was defective. We do not manufacture the paint and cannot guarantee absolutely zero detectable odour. 5. “No update. No follow-up. Nothing.” This statement is directly contradicted by our records: 18 August – Painting completed. 26 August – Our team returned to inspect the odour complaint. 3 September – You reported the paint crack and we responded at 10:13 PM: “Hi Joann, we will arrange a touch up for this and let you know the date and time soonest.” 5 September – This review was posted, only two days after we confirmed the touch-up would be arranged. There is therefore no factual basis for stating that there was “no proper follow-up” or “nothing.” We have responded to your concerns, returned to inspect the room, maintained communication and offered additional assistance beyond the original scope of service. The products were selected by you, the brand-new products were shown to you, three coats were applied, and the work process and timing were documented and communicated throughout. We stand by the work carried out by our team and the reasonable assistance provided before, during and after completion.

   I was moving out of my apartment and before handover I needed to do cleaning as per TA, initially I hired another cleaning service (regular cleaning) of 3 hours cleaning service, but it was rejected from landlord and to be honest it’s wasn’t up to the mark, then I was lucky to find this guys “Dr Stain” the help and guidance from the stuff and the coordinators was really outstanding and extremely professional , and they helped in selecting the service, booking the service and following up during and after the service, the cleaners was so good and hardworking and did a very good job, and the cleaning was accepted by landlord/agent with no questions asked Overall very satisfying service and definitely will use it again, highly recommended

The team was professional, experienced, and extremely thorough. They managed to remove all the fine renovation dust and even tackled stubborn ageing stains on areas like the toilet floor and windows. I was especially impressed with how carefully they handled my brand-new vinyl flooring, using a machine scrubber on a gentle setting to clean it effectively without causing any damage.     ‼️‼️ Cleaner arrived more than 1 hour late and completed the entire job (including poultice placement) in ~20 minutes versus ~1.5 hours initially promised. After 48 hours, the stains under the poultice showed no observable improvement, and the poultice disintegrated into loose powder upon removal. All despite an indicated 80–90% stain removal rate before we confirmed the work. No walk-through or completion sign-off was conducted. Follow-ups and multiple requests for their manager to contact us were not responded to. ‼️‼️ We would strongly caution others to clarify completion standards, expected results, and post-service follow-up very carefully with them before engaging. —————————————————— 🚨🚨 Update 12 Apr 2026: Two weeks have passed since my initial post. As Dr Stain did not respond to our WhatsApp, we had no choice but to engage another cleaner to complete the remaining work. Surprisingly, under the same “chemical deep cleaning” scope, the second cleaner was able to remove the remaining stains by simply spending more time and care on the cleaning process. This strongly suggests that the remaining stains were in fact removable all along with a more thorough process, and stands in stark contrast to our earlier experience with Dr Stain, where the work was completed in a rush. No manager has ever contacted us, and they have remained non-responsive on WhatsApp. It is extremely disappointing that we had to incur additional time, inconvenience, and expense engaging a third party to complete work that should have been addressed from the outset. ⛔️⛔️ Again, we strongly caution others to be extremely careful when dealing with them.

    We will address this clearly for transparency. You engaged us for a chemical deep cleaning service ($290), which was completed in full. Based on the before-and-after condition, approximately 80% of the total stained area (by length coverage) has been successfully removed. The remaining ~20% is localized, consisting of embedded staining within the tile’s porous surface, which is not removable through standard cleaning methods. Despite this, we carried out a GOODWILL COMPLIMENTARY poultice treatment (worth over $290) specifically on this remaining portion in an attempt to further improve it. Despite this, the final payment remains outstanding to date. Regarding the arrival timing, our team informed you in advance of a delay due to a traffic accident along the route, which was beyond our control. The images presented in your review only show the remaining ~20% portion of the stain path, and do not show the 80% of the stained area that has been successfully removed. This does not represent the overall results achieved on-site. For full transparency, we will be uploading the complete set of before-and-after photos, showing the full stain path and treated areas. As communicated, stain removal on porous surfaces is not guaranteed, particularly for embedded or pre-existing conditions. When you queried on duration, an estimate of up to 1.5 hours was provided as a general time allocation, as stain removal is subjective and depends on the severity, material condition, and stain penetration. For this specific area, the active chemical treatment required approximately 15–20 minutes, which is consistent with proper application. Extending chemical exposure or repeated scrubbing beyond what is necessary may risk etching or damaging the tile surface, and is therefore not appropriate. With regard to your mention of “walk-through” and “sign-off”, this is a standard clause included in our general service templates. For targeted stain removal works where you were present throughout, the process and results were visible on-site during the service itself. Regarding your statement that there was no follow-up, this is not accurate. Our management and legal/compliance team have been in contact with you via WhatsApp messages, with multiple follow-ups made on this matter. We note that raising such a review while payment remains unpaid and without full context of the completed work is not a fair representation of the service provided. This does not justify the withholding of payment for services that have been fully completed. We take our professional reputation seriously and reserve all rights to take further action in relation to the outstanding payment and any misleading public statements made.

    I am writing to express my disappointment with the cleaning service I recently received, which did not meet the expectations set by your advertisement. Firstly, I found the professionalism lacking, particularly in the use of standard cleaning products. My experience was further complicated by the management of Sabrina, who mismanaged the situation regarding the tiles. I had previously shared images of the tiles to assist with their relocation, but Sabrina claimed they were too heavy for the two female cleaners to handle. To my surprise, she later offered to have the tiles moved for an additional fee of $80, which I declined. I then arranged for someone from the town council to shift them for just $20. However, I was still charged $50, which Sabrina claimed was for the cleaners' share. I would have preferred to offer a small tip directly to the cleaners instead. Despite my attempts to communicate my concerns to management, I felt neglected and was told that my feedback was disregarded due to an outstanding balance. This culminated in a threatening remark about sending a lawyer's letter regarding the remaining payment of $385, which I found shocking. My request was never about the payment of itself but rather to provide feedback before finalizing it. Overall, I am left feeling that the total amount I paid of $720 does not reflect the quality of service I received. The only aspect of the service that met expectations was the deep cleaning of my tiles.

    Engaged their service to clean up external wall tiles for my house. Service and response was prompt prior and during the cleaning. When cleaning was completed on that day I could see that the tiles were cleaner although some marks were not able to be fully removed. After which, in a month, I noticed my tiles had turned yellowish and these yellow stains were not there initially. Contact them via WA and they responded it was due to reasons like weather, moisture and runoff. However if that was the case, these yellowish stains would have been there all these while and not developed only the past month. Tried to call them on a few occasions to discuss but there was no response and they did not return my call. To add, there was one section of the wall that the cleaner said were water marks and would disappear, however I informed them the marks were still there, they confirmed a date to provide a touch up, on that day they were late and agreed to rearrange but when I reached out to them they were not responsive.

    Hi SL, Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that the external wall cleaning was completed, and no issues were raised at the point of completion. The concern regarding yellowing was only brought up more than a month later. Based on the staining pattern and location, this is not consistent with a chemical-related reaction. If it were caused by the cleaning process, the effect would typically appear shortly after the service and present more uniformly. The current discolouration appears as vertical streaking concentrated below the timber/fluted panel area above. For external surfaces, this is commonly associated with environmental factors, where rainwater runoff carries tannins, dirt, and natural residues from materials such as timber. Over time, these substances can flow downward repeatedly and result in yellowish staining on the wall below. In addition, natural stone surfaces—especially those that have been exposed over time—may undergo gradual colour changes due to oxidation, mineral content, and weathering. These are inherent characteristics of external materials and are beyond the control of the cleaning process. We had also arranged a return visit to address the water stain area. However, when our crew was on the way, there was a delay and rainfall occurred, and due to the weather conditions, the works could not proceed. This was mutually acknowledged and agreed upon with Stephie to be postponed. We were subsequently awaiting confirmation from your side for the next suitable date to proceed. However, we noted that a Google review was posted focusing on our delay, without mentioning that the postponement was due to rain, which had been mutually acknowledged and agreed upon with Stephie at the time. For transparency, we have uploaded before-and-after photos reflecting the condition at the point of completion. Thank you.

    Generally their cleaning service is quite good. Fast and efficient. They will try to finish on time. Even if their staff have last minute work injury, they will try to reschedule. Not bad for their formaldehyde cleaning service. Have to take full video of all your walls because they will shed off all responsibility when they scratched it. Understandable that they can’t move tower of boxes because it’s heavy and it’s only 2 female cleaners. But They will not even move loose light items for post renovation. (For those who need to move in or unpack urgently then you want to con reconsider). Make sure your house is totally empty. Their floor coating is good as well. But not thorough enough that it even coat some black particle underneath it which it can’t be removed for now. They clean the cabinets quite well just that Dr stain still leave stains here and there. If you are someone whom is very particular, then these are some of my experience for your reference.

    Sabrina was good and helpful with assisting me with the changes and rush before cny. However the general cleaning of the entire place was disappointing. My fiance was there with them, a guy being a guy overlooks many things. Well I went there two days after the cleaning after my busy work schedule anticipating the house to be fresh and clean. However the floor still dusty and ‘powderish’ maybe just 50% better than during the reno. Dusty wrapped furnitures weren’t removed(so apparently still dusty) sitting in my kitchen, despite the consent I gave to the team via groupchat agreement. I also swept across my fingers on one of my floating shelf and my fingers were filled with white powder. Two days in between no other job been done as my unit was already completed. Paid almost $800, I have to redo the cleaning again. Maybe just not up to my standard. Not worth it. I hardly give negative review. First time.

    Was very impressed by Sabrina and her team. Prior to even making the booking, Sabrina spoke to me about my cleaning needs and provided a detailed explanation of what their services entailed and advised me on what would be the most effective and cost efficient approach, even if it meant that I didn’t ultimately pick the more expensive option. I opted for the deep scrubbing of floor tiles. The team showed up early and did a great job. I had also checked in with a few companies beforehand and found Dr Stain’s rates to be pretty reasonable. All in all, would highly recommend.

    I did my new house renovation & contractor left behind alot of unknown stains in my kitchen tiles. Though I feedback to them, they said it is normal and it will go off eventually after multiple of cleaning myself. However no matter how many times I scrubbed, the stains are there & seems to get darken. Out of desperation, I reached out to Dr Stains. Immediately they can identified that the cause is because of cement & glue. I’m so grateful that they manage to slot in a time for me the next day.     Terrible attitude from their sales rep Sabrina. Gave more excuses than the mistakes we pointed out. I don't see anything wrong with complaining about your service when they are inadequate. Instead of apologizing, she turns around and accused us for being condescending. The cleaners on the ground were cooperative and polite. They apologized whenever they made mistakes and made the necessary corrections. Sabrina on the other hand was very rude from the start to us. She is the worst sales person we've ever seen. With that attitude, she should not be in any customer facing position or in any service line.

    Extremely pleased with the cleaning and painting work done by Mr Ripon and his partner. They were professional, efficient and took great care in ensuring every corner was cleaned to perfection. Special thanks to Sabrina, who patiently explained and analyzed everything for us in detail, even replying to us over the weekend (we felt bad for disturbing her on her rest day). She is truly professional and knowledgeable, which gave us full confidence. We also want to sincerely thank Jane, Niki, and Rose for their hard work. They were professional, friendly, and very helpful. They worked tirelessly for 6 hours to make our new home sparkling clean.     Highly highly recommended!!! They are definitely top in Singapore for cleaning services. Highly professional , meticulous, customer centric and have the best people for the job. As a front liner and slightly OCD, I have high expectations on customer service and cleanliness. They are so meticulous and fussy about every stain, making sure the house was more than just spotless was beyond me and my OCD.
