Seems like there are a couple reviews on how they misquote customers. When I enquired online, John he gave me a call to quote for $580. I screenshotted his website’s price list asking why is it $580 when the price list range was max $400. He said $400 for pipeline machine unclogging, and $150 for dismantling and putting back the toilet bowl, saying all the things would add up to $580. He said all these in an audio note. I thought ok, fine, it’s extra for dismantling the toilet bowl. The website said up to 3 months warranty, John said 1 month warranty. I asked for 2 months and he obliged. After the plumbers came (2 Indian workers, they did a great job btw) they used the machine but my toilet bowl did not need to be dismantled. Just as the workers left, John sent me a photo of an invoice amounting to $580 stating machine use and toilet bowl dismantling and putting back. His message said to transfer once the job is done, no questions on what even went on during the job. I replied that the toilet bowl wasn’t dismantled, so is the quote revised? The $150 like in your audio note. He immediately gave me call, saying that actually it’s still the same, should still charge me $580 cause my toilet bowl problem has been so persistent, and some rubbish about how they’re there to solve my problem for good, somemore got 2 months warranty. (If so confident why give warranty?) I told him whatever your audio note said and whatever you’re telling me is so different, anytime you change your words when you’ve already given me a breakdown of the costs? I think he realised I was getting pissed then he said ok then if not minus the $150 lor I just pay $450 but no more warranty. At this point I’ve had it talking with this man. I just told him to open a new invoice for $450, I don’t need your warranty. With how he’s been handling it so far, I don’t trust he won’t charge me even if it’s under warranty. Now checking back on my messages, he deleted his message asking me to transfer $580 plus his $580 invoice. Yeah it’s a lengthy post, but you’ve been warned the way this man quotes is totally dishonest. If my toilet bowl issue comes back again, I rather give my money to someone else to fix it. 2 stars only cause the workers were nice.

Serviced by Derrick who did a great job at clearing the clogged drainage. Initially thought it’s a minor choke (quoted $60) but turned out it was a much deeper issue that requires specialized machinery to clean the pipe. Paid $280 & no issue so far. Just relieved despite the price difference.

I engaged this plumber to clear a bathroom floor trap clog after seeing their website promotion of $150 nett for complex choke clearing. I even called their shop to confirm the price before arranging for them to come down. However, when the plumber arrived, he quoted me $280, saying $150 was only for clearing one side of the floor trap, and since both traps are connected, I had to pay for two sides. I found this explanation unreasonable because it’s essentially one connected drain system, not two separate jobs. The actual clearing took less than 15 minutes with a simple portable machine to pull out hair clog, which in my opinion was not a complicated case at all. I felt the charges were excessive and not transparent compared to the promotion they advertised. Sharing my experience here so others can be aware and ask clearly about hidden charges before engaging.

My kitchen and bathroom floor traps were choked After much searching & receiving overpriced quotations, a friend recommended Uncle John of Family Plumbing. Upon enquiry, Uncle John responded immediately (with reasonable pricing too) & arrived in less than 1hr. Chokes were swiftly cleared, thankfully. Some cement were found in the bathroom choke (my flat at Blk 147 Serangoon North Ave 1 underwent HIP some 2yrs ago). Overall, I highly recommend Family Plumbing for their friendly, honest, efficient & affordable plumbing service.

Highly recommended! Uncle John was able to solve problem! besides from drainage choking/clogged he saw a plastic container in my drainage🤣🤣🤣. He helped me removed the object. Now my kitchen drainage is working perfectly! I will recommend him my friends, such a nice person and he also recommended what de clogger to use for maintenance . Thank you Uncle John ! 924 Hougang John did provide good service clearing the choke. However, he claimed that they don’t do waterproof concrete screed service; not part of plumbing service. May have to check this out with other plumbers before committing to their service. I made this mistake. Don’t repeat it.

My HDB happens to be one of the older ones where the plumbing runs in the shape of the circle line. The kitchen sink was choked and unable to drain for the longest time ever and many plumbers ghosted on my repair requests, but not these guys. Uncle was super kind, friendly and knowledgeable and turned up asap. He managed to completely restore and unclog the plumbing. It’s been a few months since and everything runs perfectly, no issues since. Highly recommend this company!

Excellent service, very professional My shower drain hole was choked. I paid a plumber to clear the choke but issue resurfaced within one week. Family plumber helped clear the choke using a machine though the price is a bit expensive but is quality work !

I had a leaking kitchen faucet which got worse when flushing. Had to google for a plumber to look into it and saw The Family Plumber. On a whim I Whatsapped them with video and description of the leaking problem. After that I realised they were more of a choking specialists (and serviced alot of industrial type of chokes) and may not respond since mine is a "small" job. To my pleasant surprise, they responded after about 1 hour and diagnosed the problem to be a worn cartridge. I had approached 3 other plumbing companies and all of them said better to change whole tap (which would have cost me about $400+ including the new same type of designer tap and labour cost). I believe it was Derrick who replied and told me the pricing for the change and it was very reasonable and he came down within 2 hours. Very smiley and friendly young chap. The work was done in 20mins and there is now no more leak! Derrick's diagnosis was on point and I saved alot of money. Highly recommended for honest and good plumbing company. Will continue to use them from now onwards.

We messaged about 5-6 random plumbers only John responded back to us, he said he could be by our place at The Hillier in 30 minutes and swiftly fixed our floor pipe clogged issue. I highly recommend this place. Very honest guy with excellent service delivered. The price is not expensive very reasonable too! I'll definitely be looking for John for our next maintanence

Plumber came on time as promised for servicing my kitchen main drain choked by oil and cement from the first owner. The oil has become hardened until plumber need to cut off together with the cement, using the plumbing machine. i'm glad no more water flooding on the floor. Thank you! - Recommended👍👍

The man cleared a clog the size of a small animal, and was a real champion about it. Fantastic service all round, money well spent. I've bookmarked their site in the (hopefully) unlikely event I need to engage their services in the future. Also, note to self: hair should not be flushed down the toilet.

Yesterday afternoon, I discovered a leak in our farm's underground water pipe. I searched Google for reputable plumbers and sent WhatsApp messages to several. I had an underground pipe leakage.. Their team of plumbing guys led by Yeasin worked laboriously from around 9am till 9pm to complete a rather tedious exercise of laying a new pipe from the water meter at the front of the house all the way to the back running across the false ceiling. I really appreciated their professionalism as well as their patience to alleviate my anxiety over how the new pipe would work as well as how it would look aesthetically. Really happy with their handiwork!

Our kitchen’s main drain choke and was worried where to get a good plumber to fix it on Sunday. Found this contact from google. We contacted the Derrick at 10am and managed to make an appointment at 2pm on the same day. Derrick was on time and fix the chokage within 30 minutes and no mess created, and he was friendly. Chokage was bad. Reliable service provided and highly recommended.
