Disappointing Limewash Workmanship and Expectation Management I engaged PrimecoatSG to carry out limewash painting works in my home based on the sample board and portfolio presented during the consultation process. Unfortunately, the final outcome fell significantly short of the expectations set, both in terms of workmanship and the resemblance to the approved sample. The most obvious issue was the substantial difference between the sample board provided and the actual completed wall. While I fully understand that a larger wall surface will never look exactly identical to a small sample panel, I believe that the brushstroke style, texture, depth, and overall artistic effect should still remain reasonably consistent. In my case, the finished wall appeared drastically different. The colour depth looked considerably lighter, to the point where it appeared as though an entire coat of paint was missing, resulting in a washed-out and uneven finish. The application quality itself was also disappointing. The corners and edges were executed poorly, with very obvious inconsistencies in brushstroke direction, intensity, and technique. Rather than achieving the natural, layered aesthetic typically associated with professional limewash finishes, the result appeared patchy and lacked cohesion. What concerned me most was that this was not merely my personal perception. Since completion, I have had four separate groups of visitors come to my home, and without any prompting, every group commented that the limewash looked either low quality or improperly executed. More notably, two of these visitors work in the interior design industry, and both immediately remarked that the workmanship did not meet the expected standard of professional limewash application. When one of PrimecoatSG’s applicators, Rex, came to inspect the work, his initial explanation was that I should not expect the sample board to resemble the actual wall due to the larger surface area. While I appreciate that variations are inevitable, this does not adequately explain the significant differences in brushstroke execution, finish quality, and colour intensity. My disappointment does not stem from expecting perfection or an exact replica of a sample board. Rather, it stems from the substantial gap between the sample presented, the quality implied during the sales process, and the final workmanship delivered. I hope this review provides prospective customers with useful context when evaluating their options and setting expectations for limewash finishes.

Do not recommend their service. Very bad protection done on my house, caused a lot of tiles to be stained, when they came and clean up, they used that session as the touch up session and end up I have to pay extra. Oh well. Learning and moving on.

Their pricing is reasonable, and their painters are highly skilled and meticulous. The painters-Zaw and Sai carefully check their work multiple times to ensure everything is done properly and touch up any areas that need improvement. They are also very responsible and always make sure the work area is cleaned thoroughly before they leave each day.

It has been a breeze working with the Primecoat Painting & Waterproofing team. The painters, Myo Ming Aung and Sai, were incredibly thorough and professional. I appreciated the way the floors and necessary areas were taped and protected, and the attention to detail in prepping the surfaces before painting. All communication with them and the rest of the team was great. Apart from Myo Ming and Sai, Xin, Kai, and Clement were prompt in replying to queries and gave detailed status updates. I love how the painted surfaces have turned out; it feels like I brought a little of Morocco home with me. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to engage them for the services they provide. Edit: After sales support can be better, really.

We had entire home painted by Myo Min Aung and Thet Phaing and for 3 days they did a professional job. We had treatment and sealant done for some mould problems. And whole house repainted. Hope we do not see our problem resurfaced too soon. But overall job well done.

This week, we engaged Primecoat to help us paint our house as it has not been painted since we moved in 8 years ago. Their painter, Khaing Zaw did a great job ensuring all the furniture, fixtures and switches were covered with protector sheets before the painting work commence. He did a very good to ensure all the wall surfaces were well painted. He also did patiently touched up and repainted some small surfaces which we hard to reach. Overall we were very satisfied with the job

Truly efficient and professional. Consultation was arranged for quickly, no hard selling, proper written quotation given instantly. Everything communicated clearly. The entire process was really smooth. Painters Mr Thein and Mr Zaw did an amazing job! Kudos to them! No need for constant supervision, just had to tell them once and they knew exactly what to do. Professional and respectful. Very skilled, did a solid job. If they missed any spots just had to point it out, by the end of the day they made sure to fix it all. They also make sure to tidy up and shift things back properly before they leave. They communicate and ask us if everything is okay, daily update sent to the chat. Well done. Happy with the services, will recommend. Very very reasonable pricing too. One of the most reasonable prices I came across. Thank you!

3 stars — and only because the painting work itself (done by Thein and Myo Thu) was acceptable and the paint quality is okay. The reason it’s not higher: pricing here is a mess. Every small extra is an opportunity to upcharge you, and the quotes are wildly inconsistent depending on which staff you talk to. Rex told me removing one bracket would cost an extra $100. His own supervisor quoted $30 for the exact same job. That’s three times the price — and it makes you wonder where the difference goes. If you hire them, get every single price in writing upfront and confirm with more than one person. Otherwise expect surprises.

The finishing is smooth and neat, and even the edges and corners were handled perfectly! Engage them through Facebook ads. Sales team came n make an appointment for quotation. Engage them to do paint whole house n hack a wall. Very efficient on the 2 workers that complete the job in 4days. Very well prepared , cover n tape what is required. Would definitely engage them again for further renovation. Pricing wise is acceptable. Heads up, Need to know what to do before engage them cos once they start the project price wise will be different. Overall had a great experience with them . Kudos to the 2 workers who make it happen. Responsible & efficient. .

Really happy with the painting service from Primecoat. Follow-ups and checks were done to ensure work done executed well. Got my living room, balcony, bedroom door and main door painted.
